Episode 2 - On Writing, Yoga, Diversity & Inclusion

My second guest, Denise Robinson, is a lawyer, who has a passion for diversity & inclusion, yoga & mindfulness, and has gone a different route by founding her own company called The Still Center where she helps lawyers and other professionals bring their best, to all aspects of their lives and prepares organizations to put people first. This conversation was recorded two weeks ago but it’s particularly poignant in light of the protests sweeping America in recent days. #blacklivesmatter

We discuss pivoting your career when you have fewer responsibilities versus pivoting because you have more, diversity in yoga and the importance of simply remembering to breathe, Durban bush knives and their relevance to writing and she schools me on how diversity and inclusion, implicit biases and a mindset of scarcity are all interrelated. She also tells us a little about what it was like having a certain two-term US President as a law professor. (Hint: No. 44)
